The Sublime Vision

Image

My very first acrylic painting surpassed my expectations. Really loved the acrylic effect. I decided on this theme because I failed to find a decent picture of Lord Shiva in the markets within my budget………!!!  🙂

This by far is one of my best painting and I would love to explore more with acrylics….

The Tempest

THE TEMPEST

Yes, I know…this is a very common subject to paint. There are like millions of similar looking paintings everywhere. But somehow I have always liked to paint a ship struggling to sail ahead in a stormy sea. It represents optimism to move ahead in life despite all obstacles.

And also, yes, It does draw its inspiration from William Shakespere’s ‘The Tempest’ and thus shares the name as well.

I had painted it as  a school kid in water color and later as a miniature oil painting for practice and finally the present one, as a full scale painting.

THE DIVINE ELEPHANT

My first brush with the “BRUSH” after a long time. The challenge was elephantine in true sense when I decided to paint Ganesha, the harbinger of good luck and prosperity for the Hindus.
