Final artwork- Watercolor on paper and color corrected in Adobe Photoshop

My entry for this week’s Illustration Friday submission.                                                                                                                                                             The topic being ‘Wool’, I couldn’t resist drawing fashion yet again. In fact, the moment I read the topic an image of a fashion model in red colored woolen cap and muffler was the first thing that came to my mind. I ended up drawing exactly that.

Pencil Sketch

I have been working on a lot of Children’s Illustration of late. I must have fallen in love with the style. Or is this a secret way to revisit my own childhood through all the illustrations that I create.

So, This week’s submission for Illustration Friday is a children’s art once again.
The topic of the week being ‘SHY’, this is the first image that came to my mind. I have always noticed little kids and even adults covering their faces when they feel shy. So the illustration represents shyness quite well.

Now you don’t feel shy to drop in your comments though… 😉

It would be an understatement to say that I adore cats. Cats mean so much more to me.

They are one of the best things that have happened to me.
I am a hard core animal lover in general, but just the sight of a cat  brightens up my mood and makes my day!

So I dedicate this post to all the cute little ‘meeaowing’ things and particularly to our pet Poos-poos aka Pussy,a stray kitten who found shelter at our home and a very special place in our hearts.

Poos-poos has now grown into a fine young lady and has given me a lot of inspiration for most of my children’s illustrations.

Linda and Susan

Image

This is one of my practice illustration. I wanted to break free from my usual style of  color splashes or strong brush strokes and wanted to experiment with just lines. Although I ended up adding some color here as well (my infatuation with colors always gets the better of me), but this illustration is somewhat different from my regular style.

I had a tough time giving a title to this illustration as I didn’t have a particular theme in mind when I started out. So I decided to name these two girls “Linda and Susan”.
