I know I haven’t been posting much of late. I am feeling guilty now. A month back I started another blog, a fashion blog called ‘Little Book of Fashion‘ which is taking a lot of my time. Now, that no ways means that I am out of touch with my illustrations. I love illustration as much as I love fashion 🙂

So here I am back to my illustrations. This is what I have been secretly working on. A cartoon character called Stella and her pet Fluffy and her simple life in this big world. A sneak peak of rough  sketches of Stella and Fluffy from my sketchbook.

Please let me know how do you like it 🙂

Christmas Party

Two banner options I created for a e-commerce site for children’s merchandise. Unfortunately the designs could not be used for certain reasons. I still loved the look of the banners and decided to share it in my blog anyways.

The Octopus is a logo of the site and the rest of the animals are worked upon by me.

Its a fun Christmas party!!

Pencil Sketch

I have been working on a lot of Children’s Illustration of late. I must have fallen in love with the style. Or is this a secret way to revisit my own childhood through all the illustrations that I create.

So, This week’s submission for Illustration Friday is a children’s art once again.
The topic of the week being ‘SHY’, this is the first image that came to my mind. I have always noticed little kids and even adults covering their faces when they feel shy. So the illustration represents shyness quite well.

Now you don’t feel shy to drop in your comments though… 😉

Illustration Friday : Sky

Image

We wish to fly across the blue sky…………<3 ❤

Black and white outlines.

I have created an illustration for “Illustration Friday” after a very long time. This is my interpretation of ‘Sky’, this week’s theme on Illustration Friday. A Children’s Art made with pencil and water color on paper, a little girl and her cat dream of flying away into the blue sky amidst the beautiful clouds carried away by enormous balloons. There imaginations are fueled by the picture story book that they are reading.

I am not much of a children’s writer but I can almost see a story happening around this illustration. Is there a writer around who would like to come up with a one paragraph long story based on this illustration….just for fun???

It would be an understatement to say that I adore cats. Cats mean so much more to me.

They are one of the best things that have happened to me.
I am a hard core animal lover in general, but just the sight of a cat  brightens up my mood and makes my day!

So I dedicate this post to all the cute little ‘meeaowing’ things and particularly to our pet Poos-poos aka Pussy,a stray kitten who found shelter at our home and a very special place in our hearts.

Poos-poos has now grown into a fine young lady and has given me a lot of inspiration for most of my children’s illustrations.

Illustration Friday: Freeze

Image

The topic of Illustration Friday this week instantly reminded me of my experiences with snow last winter in northern Germany.  I had seen little kids making snowman in their front yards and playing with snowballs.

This illustration is inspired by harsh but beautiful winter of Northern Germany and of course my cat ‘Poos Poos’ who has to be a part of almost all my children’s illustrations.
